    Champaner

    Champaner is a historical city in the state of Gujarat, in western India. It is located in Panchmahal District, 47 kilometres from the city of Vadodara. The city was briefly the capital of Gujarat.It was founded by Vanraj Chavda, the most prominent king of the Chavda Dynasty, in the 8th century.

    Jambughoda Wildlife Sanctuary

    An easy destination to combine with a visit to Champaner is the Jambughoda Wildlife Sanctuary which just 20 km away (70 km from Vadodara). Full of forests of teak and mahuda trees, bamboo, and other lush vegetation, Jambughoda Wildlife Sanctuary is home to large populations of many kinds of wildlife.

    Helical Stepwell, Champaner

    This 16th century well has a 1.2m-wide staircase that spirals down along the wall of the well shaft, making it quite unusual in design among stepwells of the region.

    Citadel

    The citadel built by Mahmud Begda has walls running north-south, with many bastions and gates. All of the gates were two-storeyed, with rooms for watchkeepers. Four of the gates are still in good condition.

    Hamirsar Lake

    Hamirsar Lake is a large man made lake situated in heart of Bhuj town, the District headquarters of Kutch, Gujarat, India.It is a 450 year old lake named after Jadeja ruler Rao Hamir (1525-1537), the founder of Bhuj.The lake was built during the reign of Rao Khengarji I (1548–1585), the founder of Jadeja dynasty in Cutch, who named it after his father Rao Hamir.

    Sursagar Talav

    This restored artificial lake is large and always full, which makes it a great place to hang out, as well as for boating. It also receives the majority of Ganesh idols during Ganesh Chaturthi.
